I write technology for a living, and the fact that a brilliant mind like Steve “Apple” Jobs makes for a very disturbing news bit so early in the morning. High priced or not, the products he came out with changed the face of how we use and perceive technology. I recently had a very moving conversation with a blind professor who is advocating adaptability for visually challenged in consumer technology, and he pointed out that Apple is one of those few biggies who have made products keeping the blind in mind, and how grateful he really was for that. You never know how far small acts of Kindness can go.

  1. thank you for this tribute! he was younger than me and is already dead, what a pity …

    • SO true Frizz….He’s actually younger to both my parents…I am truly very sad, i really wanted to meet him in person once in my life! But now, i will never know 😥

  2. A beautiful tribute to a genius. I sit here typing on my MacBook and am both thankful for his contribution to this world and saddened by his loss.

  3. Ironically my husband and I had training sessions at our nearby Apple store today. Someone had brought in flowers and a note, and I gather that many people had in the course of the day.
I was amazed at how desolated I felt, and how diminished the world is by his death.
One person CAN make a difference. He did.

  4. Very nicely written, Kamakshi. His legacy will remain and continue to inspire generations.

  5. RIP Steve Jobs. He has certainly left a legacy to be proud of.
