When we were growing up, the slate was a simple and effective way to teach and learn. It was our first lesson in going green. Parked in the corner was a old school scooter. A lovely reminder of a time well spent had to be a monochrome shot. What do you think?

  1. I agree…monochrome fits.

  2. Believe it or not, when I was teaching we still used blackboards (this was only two years ago)… When most of the teachers began complaining about sinus problems because of the bad-quality chalk they upgraded us to whiteboards… Ha… The photo just wouldn’t have been as effective in colour.

  3. this is great pic!

  4. Monochrome works for me in this one. I’m not a great fan of B+W images, we see in colour so why not show an image in all it’s glory. But for me this sort of works

  5. Nice B&W – scooters like that continue in production with minor styling differences, but the blackboard is definitely an endangered species 😉

  6. This is a great pic. Really like the composition.

  7. I still love this photo! Great choice for weekly photo challenge.
