We have all made sand castles as kids on a fun day in the beach. And more so if the beach is close by. The Indian peninsula boasts of a coast of over 7500 kilometres, so it would be strange if you meet an Indian who doesn’t love the beach. While Rangoli’s account for a major part of India’s affection with sand based art, there are several artists who like to challenge their boundaries by creating amazing art on the beach itself. However, I half expected to see a Hanuman on one of the most crowded beaches in Mumbai, Juhu beach, that too at 8 in the night! Quite a sight, and it would’ve been unfair if I didn’t share this picture with the world!

  1. I like the shadows which really gives shape to the sculpture.

    • Thank you for stopping by…it was a nicely done art, just under the lamp and on a low tide night…perfect combination of art commonsense!
