I have described the Flora Fountain before, and this is one of the statues that are placed on one of the four bases. I love the intricate detailing on the attire of the Victorian sculpture. But it hurts to see it break apart (one arm is missing, if you haven’t noticed yet). Hope its resorted soon, and the real glory of this Victorian art blooms to its full potential again!

Love the architecture, the intricacy, the beauty of the sculpture–woman with a basket of ???
Celelia, i think its fruits and flowers, but i’ll check the next time and update both our knowledge
beautiful photo! is this the flora fountain in mumbai? i’ve never taken a second glance. looks like i’ll be visiting next time i drop by in south mumbai.
Yup Sacha, this is the Flora Fountain at Fort, Churchgate…you can check this particular one at the parking lot end of the structure!
Always sad to see sculptures fall apart. But then, it’s even sadder to see real people whose lives are falling apart.
So true Robin!!
Brilliant!
Thanks you!!
